Citizen of the world, Carla-Maria Khanjian has held various managerial positions in North America, China, Europe and the Middle East. Known for her entrepreneurial flair, in 2005 she became the CEO of BeFutur Biotechnologies Suisse SA, a biotech company she co-owns with her sister Irma. The two Khanjian sisters have launched an antioxidant skincare line in Switzerland – named LA PEAU – that is gaining rave reviews against the market giants in cosmetics.
Carla Khanjian holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree (with Distinction) in Economics from the American University of Beirut. She speaks and writes more than 5 languages. She has been an active participant in Cells & Tissues Engineering conferences, as well as Leadership seminars.
In 2015, Carla received “Le Prix du Cèdre et de l’Erable” honoring women achievers – organized by the Canada-Lebanon Chamber of Commerce. In 2007, Carla-Maria was honored as finalist for the Ernst & Young and Y “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in Canada. In 2011 & 2016, Carla and Irma were interviewed by world famous journalist Robert Scully: The World Show – their interview was chosen as the Final Summer Classic “Most Viewed” Interview in the Dobson Series.
Carla is an avid athlete; she has competed in many international triathlons. She currently resides in Montreal, Canada.
